Petit Cergnat
was built in the 18th century
in Troistorrents, a typical Swiss village, further down the valley. It
was rescued from demolition after the Second World War by the father of
its present owner and rebuilt in Morgins. Since then it has undergone
extensive renovation.
It is situated about 300m from the
village centre and you can ski to within 50m of the door at the end of
the day.
Petit
Cernat offers 6 ‘en-suite’ bedrooms with five of the rooms having
baths as well as showers and with plenty of hot water this is every skiers
dream! Downstairs the sitting room and dining room are panelled with the
alpine wood "arole" which only grows at the base of glaciers
and is now so rare that its use has been banned. The wood has a warm glow
and fills the rooms with a scent that only old wood can! The ground floor
comprises entrance hall one twin bedroom, WC, dining room, lounge and
kitchen. Two twin bedrooms and an extremely spacious double bedroom can
be found on the 1st floor with 2 twin bedrooms on the 2nd floor. The 3
bedrooms on the 1st floor have their own balconies. There is ample parking
in the public car park aout 75metres down the road.
The chalet sleeps a maximum of 12 adults in 5 twin rooms and 1 double.
Petit Cergnat is equiped with TV,video and CD player and free broadband internet access.
