of Lac Leman, close to Montreux.

in Ouchy. On Wednesday and Saturday mornings there is a traditional market

to Thonon and Geneva. Superb fish restaurants.
Sion
Capital city of the Valais/Wallis canton, steeped in history
and interest. The imposing monastic chateau dominating Sion houses the
oldest playable organ in the world. Rising above the sea of vines encircling
the city, the two chateaux would have made a perfect setting for Lord
of the Rings both are well worth a visit.
Zermatt
The Matterhorn on a clear day is spectacular and the village
in summer buzzes with walkers, climbers, mountaineers and tourists. Fantastic
walks with all modes of alpine transport from cog railway, mountain metro;
chairlift and cable car.
Bern
This must be one of the most unspoilt capital cities in the
world and the cobbled streets and beautiful fountains are among the citys
main attractions. The cathedral with its ornate and firey depictions on
the West front is most impressive.
