Morgins, a delightfully unspoilt alpine village situated high above Lake
Geneva will be your home for the week. The village, with a local population
of about 450, is 1½ hours from Geneva Airport at an altitude of 1,400
metres above sea level and the area has attracted visitors for many years.
At one time tourists used to flock to Morgins in search of cures from
the areas mineral rich waters and nearby thermal springs at Val
dIlliez. In fact it was the intrepid British who put Morgins on
the map, with their skating and skiing parties in the late 1800s and a
fascinating account of their exploits can be read in "The Bear Club
Diaries", still kept at the Tourist Office. Unlike many resorts,
Morgins has managed to resist the increasing pressures of late 20th century
tourism and the result is a charming, friendly village where one can relax
and feel at ease.
Ski Morgins has 8 chalets with the 3 main chalets we use for groups
of students situated close to the centre of the village.
