Ski Morgins Flexibility

Morgins, a delightfully unspoilt alpine village situated high above Lake Geneva will be your home for the week. The village, with a local population of about 450, is 1½ hours from Geneva Airport at an altitude of 1,400 metres above sea level and the area has attracted visitors for many years. At one time tourists used to flock to Morgins in search of cures from the area’s mineral rich waters and nearby thermal springs at Val d’Illiez. In fact it was the intrepid British who put Morgins on the map, with their skating and skiing parties in the late 1800s and a fascinating account of their exploits can be read in "The Bear Club Diaries", still kept at the Tourist Office. Unlike many resorts, Morgins has managed to resist the increasing pressures of late 20th century tourism and the result is a charming, friendly village where one can relax and feel at ease.
Ski Morgins has  8 chalets with the 3 main chalets we use for groups of students situated close to the centre of the village.

FACILITIES IN MORGINS
Thermal Baths
Situated at Val d’Illiez approx. 15 minutes from Morgins. Outdoor pool, naturally heated spring water to soothe and relax. Tennis courts and cafe.
Tennis & Swimming
Morgins boasts 2 indoor courts, 5 outdoor courts and an open-air swimming pool at the Centre Sportif. There is also a climbing wall, table tennis facilities and a basketball area. Large grassy area around the pool which provides an excellent meeting place in the afternoons.
Devalkarting
The Devalkarting is situated next to the sports centre. You are propelled into action with the aid of the Geant poma lift. You launch yourself from the top of the piste in a wide wheeled kart and hope for the best. Lots of fun!!
Summer Sledging
An artificial toboggan run has recently opened in nearby Chatel and is a firm favourite for the 6 - 16 year olds.
Climbing & Abseiling
For beginners through to advanced, the Pas de Loups at the Col de Corbier offers some great climbing and abseiling. Tuition and equipment provided by a professional team of dedicated climbers.
Mountain Biking
In the height of the summer the chairlifts will make the climbs easier - out of season you provide the pedal power! We have recently started to use an excellent organisation in France who provide tuition and equipment. Be prepared to pedal for 2 or 3 hours - an exhausting but exhilarating pastime.
Horse Riding
The stables are adjacent to the tennis courts and offer trekking & lessons throughout the summer. The horses are extremely well trained and Monica gives a warm welcome to riders of all abilities. Hard hats provided.
White Water Rafting
One of the most popular of the activities on offer, white water rafting takes place on the river Dranse in France. 7 Aventure is an extremely professional organisation with English speaking instructors. The adrenaline surge will keep you warm even in the coldest of conditions - the only criteria - you have to be able to swim!
Parapente
A tandem flight, lasting approximately 30 minutes offers a whole new experience. The well established parapente school in Champoussin offers both tandem and solo flights! Tuition and equipment provided by Jean Philippe and his team; the courage to run off a mountain top is not included in the cost of the activity!

SPECIAL EVENTS
